Moderate 5.0 earthquake shakes Ontario, Quebec, and U.S.
A moderate earthquake was felt in parts of Southern Ontario and as far as Ottawa and Montreal. The U.S. Geological Survey has reported that an earthquake measuring 5.0 struck Southern Ontario, Quebec and a large part of the Eastern U.S. at around 1:40 p.m. ET. The purposes of these endless proliferating meetings became steadily vaguer, the consequences less significant and it is quite likely that proximity leads to as much friction as camaraderie and trust between participants.
Solemn sedans speed up to conference centres, screech to a stop and well-upholstered, striped-suited worthies emerge with bulging briefcases; in a phalanx of cellphone flaunting aides, they bustle within the portentous facades of the meeting places.
