IS BIBLICAL PROPHECY STILL RELIABLE?

IS BIBLICAL PROPHECY STILL RELIABLE?
Recently, we received from Gary Kah, Executive Director of Hope For the World, a review of global events of the past year when a number of significant events occurred which were aimed at advancing- the agenda of the new global order
Viewed from the perspective of Biblical prophecy, and events foretold there,
what we are witnessing is the ongoing fulfillment of the unerring and faultless predictions of Old Testament prophets particularly Isaiah, Ezekiel and Zech¬ariah. The Southwest Radio Church 2001 Prophecy Calendar points out
"The Bible is the only book in all the world that has dared to prophesy of events that will occur hundreds or thousands of years in the future. The prophet Ezekiel was called to prophesy "of the times that are far off" (12:27).
Fulfilled prophecies of the Bible are proof beyond dispute of the Living God Who knows all things from the beginning to the end. Every prophecy of the Bible that should have been fulfilled to this
date has been fulfilled. More than 100 prophecies in the Old Test¬ament relate to the birth, earthly mission, death, burial, and res¬urrection of Jesus."
The following is from Gary Kah's review of the past twelve months a re¬view that clearly affirms how present events are the continuing fulfillment of the prophetic Word of Truth.
The most significant developments centered on the United Nations and the Vatican, which became more closely allied as the year progressed. The UN Summit of Religious Leaders (also known as "The Peace Summit") in August and the UN Millennium Summit (involving Heads of State) in September were unprecedented in scope. Never had so many powerful religious and political leaders gathered at the United Nations to promote the advancement of global government and the unification of religions. Both meetings had top Vatican officials present, lending their
support. These and other efforts, such as the founding of the United Religions organization in June, seemed to be part of Pope John Paul's broader vision of uniting the world around Rome.
This aspiration was most evident in November, when the Vatican hosted European Union officials along with thousands of national parliamentarians at a meeting they called "The World's
Parliament." By the time the Vatican's Year of Jubilee ended on January 6th it was apparent that the Church of Rome had made tremendous strides.

Meanwhile..Back at the Lab

Meanwhile..Back at the Lab.

The June/01 issue of Jagged Edge had an article on Superstring Theory, which was touted as "a way to derive the forces of nature". The strings were described as, "tiny .... too small to be observed and not made of anything". However, they "vibrate at varying frequencies, just like guitar strings". Apparently, the big hope of string theorists is that this will eventually lead to a-set of equations that will describe the universe as we know it.
It seems the string thinkers are still at it. An article in a Creation Re¬search Institute publication, Back To Genesis (Mar. 04) by Dr. Henry Morris we have an intriguing update. Dr. Morris reports
"According to Dr. Leonard Susskind, Professor of Physics at Stanford University, string theory is the most ambitious attempt of theoretical physicists to explain the laws of nature. Based on the idea that elementary particles have an extended structure that resembles tiny loops of string, it has the potential to unify all the forces in nature.
No one has seen these elementary particles nor these tiny loops of string, for they are much too small. They appear only in the mathematical manipula¬tions generated by string-theory physicists. .
String theory does not operate in the real universe of space-time, with three dimensions of space (length, width, depth) and one of time. Depending on one's viewpoint it either requires nine or ten dimensions of space and one of time. These tiny loops of string somehow function in rolled-up, six¬dimensional shapes called Calabi-Yau spaces, of which there are presumably many millions of distinct kinds from which to choose.
But then there are also many other variables involved in this process, which is called 'compactification'. Each such space is specified by hundreds of 'moduli', as well as 'branes' and 'fluxes' and ‘vacaa'. All in all, says Susskind, a generic conpactification requires several hundred variables to fix it. They may vary either with time or with location in ordinary space."
And this is going to "unify all the forces of nature and describe the universe as we know it"? These people are either certifiably insane or this is a gigantic spoof. Nothing in Greek mythology, Scientology of Voodoo can begin to top mad hypothesizing of the "string spoofers".
It is amazing how so many can seriously consider the preposterous rubbish concocted by "string theorists", while denying the Genesis account of Creation, and rejecting the salvation that Jesus Christ purchased for us through His death on Calvary's cross.
Sperry Chafer in his Systematic Theology explains it well in his chapter on soteriology
"Men are lost because they are under the power of Satan, and are blinded to the facts of saving grace as stated in 2 Corinthians 4:3,4. The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. In Ephesians 2:1-3 men are de¬scribed as under the domination of 'the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now in those who are disobedient'.
In Colossians 1:13 it is revealed that an unbeliever is under 'the dominion of darkness'. In 1 John 5:19 the statement is made that 'the whole world is under the control of the evil one".
Jagged Edge will strive to stay abreast of the ongoing developments in string
lunacy. ",,,,the fool rageth, and is confident" (Proverbs 14:16). ****************************************************************
